ePIC EUROPEAN JOURNEYS
Barbarians don't travel. They simply go to destinations or conduct raids. (Olga Tokuraczuk)
EPIC EUROPEAN JOURNEYS
Spring and Autumn 2020: months spent self-isolating in front of a computer. After yet another round of Zoom consulting, our thoughts turned longingly to a pandemic-free future, and we decided to make an addition to our range of activities: TRAVEL. The EU – despite its many organisational and policy shortcomings - has been an effective vehicle for bringing European countries and their citizens closer together. But Eurosceptics might think differently. For many, it is precisely the EU that sits at the rotten core of what is wrong with politics these days. But even a Eurosceptic is still a European, even if that part of one’s identity might only be developed in a meekly fashion. And one hopes that a distrust of the EU does not preclude a love of travel to other European destinations and to engage with fellow Europeans. Europe is so much more than EU regulations, a single currency, or a big market. This website is a celebration of Europe in all its glorious diversity, and hopefully we might ignite that little spark of inspiration that gets you on your way to experience our beautiful continent.
