EPIC sUMMER SCHOOL
Vrboska, Island of Hvar, Croatia New Developments in the European Union
The 17th edition of our annual summer school was scheduled to take place in June 2020. Covid-19 put a temporary stop to our preparations. But we managed to be back in the autumn of 2021. The summer school was organised in collaboration with GIZ - the Gesellschaft für internationale Zusammenarbeit - as well as the Service for Knowledge Transfer at Croatia's Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The course was designed for governmental officials from across the Western Balkan region but was also open to representatives from public administrations, business, law, finance, the media, or non-governmental organisations. The summer school took place at the Labranda Senses Resort in the beautiful town of Vrboska on the island of Hvar. For 2023, we are keeping our fingers crossed that we are able to organise edition #18; most likely once more in the same beautiful location.

Service For Knowledge Transfer:
Government of Croatia
Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs,
The summer school would not be possible without the continuous support of the Croatian Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs, and here in particular its Service For Knowledge Transfer, which is instrumental in sharing experience gained through the country's EU integration process with the next generation of accession and candidate countries. Service For Knowledge Transfer supports the participation of civil servants from across the Western Balkan region at the summer school, and has been integral to the development of the course agenda.
